This week it became really fun to be a writer, a Substacker, a Parisian. There was an amusing social-media dustup (more to come on that), and not one but two readers I encountered in places that serve alcohol or coffee (telling) gave me such ~touching~ feedback about the audacious beauty this team has carved out from the rough stone of 2023 internet that I hugged them and jumped up and down. But only a little, as I have to maintain (some) Parisienne nonchalance.

On the other hand, it became sort of...nerve wracking...to be a showrunner for our forthcoming show (name TBA as it’s TRÈS SECRET), as I was met with dizzying ‘tournage’ challenges in pre-production. When your stoic, French Cameraman / DOP who has nerves of steel and decades of camera-manning under his belt tells you “what you are trying to do eees vehry, vehry, ard, I don’ sink you realize”...It...hits.
