< crazy : sexy : dazzling >
If you're ready to step into a realm where the booty glitters as vibrantly as the lights of the That Tall Metal Thing That Lights Up, then ON-Y-VA because we're about to take you on a journey through the city's most iconic, bizarre, and glamorous live cabarets.
Oui, we’ve got the world-famous Moulin Rouge [the Queen of the Prom Cabaret... don’t miss that, we’ve dropped a full <Paris : EDIT > on the subject] but that’s just where we begin. When it comes to cabaret...Paris goes both chic...and freak.
Let’s check out what the [ ~most flexible and talented~ ] locals are kicking up.
Forget everything you think you know about nightlife, because when it comes to cabarets, Paris does it like no other. [Note: we don’t have it all hanging out all straight-up pervy as Amsterdam, with it’s can’t-look-away cringey red light district. It’s Paris, so even our weird / sexy stuff has class.]
And these aren't just shows; some are acrobatic spectacles, provocative sextravaganzas, and hip n’ sweaty parties all rolled into one glittering package. Some are straight up punk. And many aren’t so straight at all.
First things first, let's talk vibes. Cabarets in Paris are all about embracing the spirit of sultry bohemianism and sexy glamour. From intimate, candlelit venues tucked away in Montmartre to grand theaters dripping in chandeliers, to big-top circus-like venues getting freaky, each cabaret has its own unique atmosphere and charm.
Think impressive acrobatic performances, dazzling costumes, and music that'll have you tapping your toes until the early hours. From burlesque, drag [both -queen and -king, the only monarchy we tolerate without violence] and cabaret classics to avant-garde acts that push the boundaries of performance art, there's something for every taste and sensibility [even the prudes conservatives can get a knee-slapping good time]. But it's not just about what happens on stage, it's about the entire experience. Picture yourself sipping champagne at a cozy table, surrounded by fellow revelers from every corner of the globe. [Or in the case of the freakier spots like the Cabaret des Merveilles, or Cirque Electric] sweaty and sexy locals on a night on the town.]
< so, what are you into? >
Let's talk details. Cabarets in Paris come in all shapes and sizes, with ticket prices to match. From budget-friendly shows that won't break the bank to lavish productions worthy of a Hollywood premiere, there's an option for every budget and occasion. Mes cheries, if you're feeling like spending some, why not go all out and book a dinner and show package? Picture yourself indulging in dinner while being whisked away into a world of glitter and glamour. It's the ultimate night out, Parisian style. The cabarets are not known for the best dinner you can have in paris, but they do offer a certain type of experience.
< crazy horse >
Picture what could go on in Paris at a place called Crazy Horse. If you guessed the sexiest Parisian cabaret, then you’re bang on. Occupying former wine cellars close to the Champs-Elysées since early 1950s, this place has been an institution [and until recently, a family business, btw] ever since [it was referenced in the Rolling Stone’s song, after all]. From time to time, instead of catching the glimpse of freed nipple [sometimes even belonging to one and only Pamela Anderson or, more recently, a star from kpop band, BLACKPINK], you may see a stage full of magicians, jugglers, and mimes. [A dancer artfully mimicking an ostrich was part of the deal when we visited...] The dancing spectacle, however, is one where you’ll need some wild horses to drag you away. Ladies be warned — if you were on the fence, you will leave with a certifiably not-less-than 49% gay quotient. Or so my friend says...Note: wear a sexy dress/nice evening attire to look your best and you’ll enjoy it more as you won’t feel so outgunned by the sheer flawlessness of all that booty...
