the week we head to le marais + le haut marais...pourqoui pas?

Le Marais — the central Paris hood that’s always both old and new...where we go when we haven’t planned anything and the « météo » is too good to stay inside. [s.v.p no calling it NoMa or UpMa or YoYoMa whatever cringe 2000’s-era real estate neighborhood naming conventions are still circulating... ]

It’s one of the few Paris quartiers where locals mix with visitors is equal numbers. Or almost equal numbers, except for August, when Parisi.ans / Parisi.ennes have fled the fact that we don’t have air conditioning for less urban environs, leading visitors to misunderstand the neighborhood as « touristy » [ sacrebleu! ]
